Short-Term Disability (STD)

Class 1A:

  • Eligibility: All active hourly non-union employees.
  • Income Replacement: 66.67% of weekly earnings, not to exceed a maximum weekly benefit of $750.
  • Waiting Period Before Benefits Begin: 0 calendar days for immediate hospitalization; 7 calendar days for sickness.
  • Benefits Duration: Up to 26 weeks. 

Class 1B:

  • Eligibility: All active salary non-union employees.
  • Income Replacement:
    • Injury: Week 1-8: 100% of basic weekly earnings; Week 9-26: 75% of basic weekly earnings.
    • Sickness: Week 2-8: 100% of basic weekly earnings; Week 9-26: 75% of basic weekly earnings.
  • Waiting Period Before Benefits Begin: 0 calendar days for immediate hospitalization; 7 calendar days for sickness.
  • Benefits Duration: Up to 26 weeks. 

Long-Term Disability (LTD)

Class 2:

  • Eligibility: All active full-time management employees.
  • Income Replacement: 66.67% of basic monthly earnings.
  • Maximum Monthly Benefit: $10,000.
  • Waiting Period Before Benefits Begin: The greater of the end of the covered person’s Short-Term Disability or 180 days.

Class 3: 

  • Eligibility: All active full-time employees, excluding the president, vice president, vice chairman, and management employees.
  • Income Replacement: 66.67% of basic monthly earnings.
  • Maximum Monthly Benefit: $6,000.
  • Waiting Period Before Benefits Begin: The greater of the end of the covered person’s Short-Term Disability or 180 days.
